Well, we've been in San Antonio for almost 5 months now, where in the world has the time gone? I am just about to finish 17 weeks of training at The Hartford Insurance Co. in the commercial department. We graduate this Friday. It's very scarry to know that you will be on the floor taking calls and trying to remember everything you have been taught from the beginning of class. Right now it feels like a huge jumbled mess in my head, but everyone else in the class is saying the same thing. There is so much more to the commercial side than there is to the personal side of Insurance. I am so greatfull to have a job that is so challanging though because it keeps my mind going and processing brain cells...LOL...We are loving Texas.
I love being around my Grandchildren and my Daughters. Kim was able to go thru the temple on July 17th. I'm so proud of her.

Finally Here

We finally made it!! Arrived Sat. evening March 13, the trip had to be the longest ever. Thank heaven's for GPS or we probably would have ended up in New York. LOL. Aside from being long most everything went well.  We almost ran out of gas in the middle of nowhere, thanks to very desprite prayers and a Priesthood blessing, the Lord sent a rancher and 10 gallons of gas so we could make it to the next station.  We had a guardian angel flying with us all the way.  Other than that all was smooth sailing.  Driving a FULL 26ft U-Haul and a car transport was'nt as bad as I had expected.
Kim was offered a job with Nationwide Ins 3 days after arriving and I was offerd a job with The Hartford a couple days ago. Kim started April 5th and I start on May 10th. We had a wonderful Easter weekend with Debbie and family in Austin, watched both sessions of confrence on Sat. Heather & Mark came and we watched the Sun morning session, had lunch then played games the rest of the afternoon, Laughed so hard my sides hurt. Everybody had a great time. We've put a deposit down on a town house just down the road from Heather's can move in 1st of May

Ready to Go

Well, only 2 more weeks and we're off. March 11th is the day. Things are getting fast and furious, you know how things are when it gets so close to final moving day.  We're down to the last things that can't get packed until a day or 2 before, paper plates, plastic cups and forks, trying to empty out the freezer, all we have left in the freezer is chicken so for the next week and a half we'll be trying to find different ways to fix chicken.
Tomarrow is my last day at work, for this day alone it is well worth moving.
I'm so excited to get to San Antonio where I will have wonderful children and Grand children that are glad to have me around.  Have 2 interviews when I get there for jobs hopefully one pans out and It doesn't take long to start work.

Time Flys

Wow!!!! How time flys by.  It seem's impossible but only about 3 months left before we leave for Texas.  The weather here has been so cold and cripy lately.  Not so good on the sore knee that I don't know what's wrong with, but Ice and Snow don't make for very good walking not even good limping.

We had a good Thanksgiving and Christmas nice and quiet,  spending it with friends Kristy, Clint and Leanna their baby  she's a doll, She just woke up so not to smilie,  Clint made the most awesome Prime Rib for Christmas dinner, we made the sides - Green Bean Cassarole, Loaded Mashed Potatoes, Sea Lime Salad.....and Kristy made yummy (evil) Magic Bars for dessert..... It was all so good,  It's nice to have good friends that you cand spend quality time with.
So tonight we're going to play games and watch the ball fall at midnight and welcome in the New Year of 2010,  Hope it's better than 2009 has been.

Preparing for Texas

Just sitting here today on my day off waiting for the washing machine to get through and thinking how great it would be to already be in Texas with Heather, Debbie and all my grandkids close by, since Sheldon and Susan don't seem to care if I live or die anymore.  I'm sure they have turned their kids minds too, I'm totally out of their lives and thats the way they seem to want it.  Any kind if forgiveness is totally out of the question I guess. Although I don't see what it was that I did that was so unforgivable except what was made up in their minds.  I don't hate them I love them both and would love to forget what has happened the last year, I harbor no hard feelings, I only wish they could do the same.  I hate having my family torn apart.  I can only guess what Jim is saying & feeling beyond the vail. I know the tears are falling and his heart is broken as mine is all the time. But April will be here before you know it, actually only 5 more months if the weather allows.  We're saying our prayers that the week of April 4th the weather is good so we can get over the passes and thru all the bad roads with the a 26' Uhaul and a car hauler.  Then I can have my children and grandchildren who care about me all around.  We need all your prayers and thoughts for us cause we will need jobs and I need a car.

Trying My New Blog

Well, here it goes, my 1st try at a blog, I'm not really sure what to put in here. Just sitting here this evening trying to organize and put together the blog page. Listening to the breeze in the trees outside my window. so peaceful and calming. Looking forward to a day of rest and relaxation tomorrow, being my day off. It has been so hectic this last week, the person I work with in the bakery has been off since the 9th of Aug. recovering from surgery. so it's been just me doing 2 peoples work everyday.

Sunday the 9th of Aug. Kim and I went to the the Elkhorn Mountains to have a picnic after church, it was so beautiful with the sound of the creek babbling and the soft breeze thru the trees, all the wild flowers.
Fresh clean air. We took the dogs to let them have a good time too. It was really fun to watch them explore and play in the creek. It was the first time Scooter had been on his own and off his leash. We weren't quite sure if he was going to run off or stay around us, we decided to give him a chance. He was so good, came back when he was called, he had a great time, of course treats do help. It does help to get away once in a while..Had a good time
